Nick thinks that his job, when the company is bought by the government, is to find patterns that identify terrorist activity in the US and the world.
What he doesn't know, and learns quickly is that the government is mining data from civilians: credit card purchases, lifestyle, and travel choices. This data is being used illegally. In short, this data is being mined without a warrant.
With the help of Cassie, his girlfriend, Nick uncovers the people involved in this massive illegal operation.
Kim du Toit has written a very interesting, fast-paced story that grabbed my attention with the blurb, and kept me up half the night so I could finish reading this story. The characters are believable. The situations are in the realm of reality. If you understand geek and hacker terminology, this book will not disappoint.
Also du Toit knows his guns and rifles. Nick, his main character, is an avid hunter and shooter so when you get to the end of the story, it is believable when Nick and Cassie get the drop on the bad guys.
So I recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a good story. You can find this ebook here.
