On the other hand I will be writing on this novel today. Depending on circumstances I hope to have a chapter up later in the afternoon. I apologize to my friends who have been reading the book. I appreciate your concern and encouragement.

Take your time. Get healthy. Writing a novel is a marathon, not a sprint.
It takes what it takes.
Many people cannot do this at ALL. You can. We can wait for the output of the imagination (since we must).
Sitting here in NJ, waiting for the nor'easter to hit - may be buried for the weekend. I'm trying to get up the courage to start posting the novel in progress sooner rather than later. How did you get the gumption to begin posting?
ABE-- thanks for the compliment. It looks like I do have an infection. Uck.
Well, I hope you did okay with the nor'easter. I have a few friends that way that had to dig out around Boston. As for posting? Having a chronic illness really shows you that you only have a few years in this life. I found that posting a chapter a week (more or less... lately less) helped me to keep writing and to actually do it.
I did this with my first novel and it helped me to actually finish it. I am now into my fifth and sixth novels. Novels are definitely take a lot of energy.
If and when you decide to post, send me a link and I will read it.
Health always has to be the priority. I hope you're doing better now.
William-- it is still a problem. It is hard for me to write during these times. It's like the world goes gray on me. But thank you-- This is the first time in my life (the last ten years) that health was an issue. I guess I am getting it all at once. On the other hand, if I wasn't ill I would be teaching instead of writing. ;-)... In one way it is a blessing, I guess
